We met with Director of Ramp Administration Deb Havens today about some items left open after the last monthly meeting with the company and the following items may affect you.
1. Uniform room change: After switching back to a payroll deduction option for uniform room purchases, the company informed us today that was only a short term change. Effective Monday payroll deduct payment options will not be available for purchases in the uniform room. The company hasn't made any firm decisions on how things will be handled going forward but additional uniform items may only be available through a vendor. Safety items will still be available but exactly how that happens is still undetermined. As we get more information about this we will pass it along.
2. Additional OT need: From Dec. 17th through January 3rd the company will operate an additional 6 redeye flights every night. Current staffing will make it difficult to cover these trips without additional headcount. The company, being proactive, is going to post OT signup sheets for the first week of the scheduled flights. As of now it will be early call in for the 0530 and 0600 starters but may vary based on the response to their need. If you're interested in picking up additional OT look for the signup sheets later this week. As we get more information about this we will pass it along.
