Veterans Committee Report 4th Quarter 2023

TWULOCAL512 VETERANS COMMITTEE REPORT-4th QUARTER2023 Members assisted with transportation and honors for three separate fallen military member flights as they transitioned to their final resting place. Weordered Honor Guard safety vests for our team members to use when performing dignified transfers for fallen service members For Veterans Day we set up service flags and service photos displayed at our military gate in the terminal and at our aircraft hangar. Weassisted with 2 separate Gold Star Family events along with the Gary Sinise Foundation. One event for families of fallen service members and one for families of fallen first responders. Wecollected personal care items and assembled 50 packages for the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans, in Wheaton, Illinois. .We provided veteran benefit information on property tax exemptions for Disabled Veterans to our benefits committee for distribution to all locals. Community Service AMVETS Post 18- presented a $10,000 donation to BraveHearts Horse Therapy for Military Veterans. BraveHearts brought 2 service horses to our TWU Veterans Conference in June to explain their work with veterans suffering from severe PTS
